Our house is a typical Dallas ranch house built in 1969. It had various update and repairs that a house of this age normally gets. Different owners, different eras, and different design tastes led us to decide on a major remodel of the house.

Who to use? We used the internet and had a few come out. One was very expensive wanting a large some of money for design work alone. Another said they could do it for a fraction of what we knew it should cost. A third kept offering free trinkets to sign without providing a budget. We became very frustrated with the process.

We realized the answer had been under our noses for years. Kasper Custom Remodeling has been working in our neighborhood for years. A neighbor’s remodeling project had a Kasper sign. It was the last call we had to make.

The initial meeting with Steve and crew gave us the confidence the project would be within our budget and be high quality.

Greg was our project leader. His experience, resourcefulness, and creativity was great. He was easy to work with and even got us easily through the occasional hiccups a 54 year-old house can provide.

This was not a small job. We tore down a wall and opened up the main part of the house. The primary bathroom was gutted to make it wheelchair friendly. Wood flooring was added to the majority of the house. We changed some windows. A complete new interior paint job. This had framing, Sheetrock, paint, electrical, plumbing, hvac, trim, and some door work.

Kasper has very talented people who did some of the work but their subcontractors were very good. All were professional and experienced. At the end of the day, they all cleaned up. We lived in the house during the remodel with a rowdy golden doodle. The cleanliness was very important especially with me using a wheelchair.

We highly recommend Kasper. We would use them again.

Renovations can be stressful; scratch that, they ARE stressful. But you’re in great hands when you choose Kasper Custom Home Remodeling as your builder. The entire team does a phenomenal job and are experts in their field. From start to finish, attention and care was given to every detail. They were clean, neat and punctual. I loved working with Meagan S. on every aspect of the millwork design. Her knowledge of Crystal Cabinets made it possible for us to truly achieve the customization we were going for in this dream kitchen and family room. Following the design phase, we had the best project manager. Greg P. was nothing but professional and knowledgeable, always communicating with us so there were no surprises. They work with some of the best trades in the industry (love Eddie and Julianna). Of course with all remodels, you never know what you’ll find when you knock down a wall. But you needn’t worry because the team at Kasper is there to trouble shoot and problem solve every step of the way. I would absolutely work with them again.

I have used this remodeling company for multiple projects, a full kitchen reno, master suite bath and closet full reno, master bedroom refresh, and most recently a hall bath refresh, and have been very happy with the quality of their work each time. They are a full service remodeling company, where they can do everything for you! My spouse and I work full time with demanding careers, and we needed someone like Kasper to complete the work and handle everything for us, even when we weren't at home! Yes, they cost more than a typical handyman/general contractor, but you get what you pay for (full service and high quality)! All of their work is insured and with a warranty, so the trust is certainly there. They have a designer who can work with you to meet your needs, someone to help you order materials/selections, and a project manager assigned to each project who coordinates with the trades, handles the delivery of items, takes care of any issues that arise, and oversees the day to day progress until completion. Their quoted schedules are longer than a typical handyman, because in the projects Kasper has worked with us on, they work Mon-Fri during the day time. In our experience, they also factor in time for any unexpected events to give you a realistic time frame. Even despite some issues that came up beyond their control, they have always met schedule!

We have previously requested quotes from other full service remodeling companies, and Kasper was priced similarly. You can't compare them with the rates of a handyman who isn't full service. In my interactions with trades/vendor reps, Kasper seems to have a good reputation locally for running an honest local family business. Sure, we have ran into unexpected issues (i.e. deliveries arriving damaged from shipment, Dallas winter storms, unexpected things behind the old drywall impeding progress), but Kasper listens, takes care of it, keeps you informed of solutions, and makes it right! My only criticism would be for their designer who draws up the design schematics, and person suggesting selections to confirm with the installers with technical knowledge if a particular item will fit into the space before ordering and before any installation is to start. For our hall bath reno, I spent time searching for medicine cabinets that met my standard of build quality, features, and specific dimensions as noted in their design drawings. I found the perfect ones on sale and ordered them myself! When it came time for the install, the person installing told us they were too big for the space, even though they were the same dimensions in the drawings! I had to get something else fast in a pinch, which meant extra time and money getting a different set of medicine cabinets. Same issue with some not-so-ordinary door hardware that had a very complicated install. I don't know anything about door hardware, so I just went with what was suggested to me only to find out when received that it was overkill for our use-case and would take a long time for the installer to complete. The PM suggested other options (that I did not even know existed), that were much more suitable and made it right! In summary, I highly recommend and would use Kasper again for my other home renovations! If you choose Kasper, you will certainly receive quality results and have comfort knowing they are trustworthy and honest people to work with.
