Open parking lot.
Dogs allowed while leashed.
No bathrooms or amenities. No fee.
The trail can get flooded in certain places, but it's so wide you can usually walk around the puddles.
The trails aren't well marked and have many splits, so be careful, because there is a designated hunting area not too far.
I've seen numerous wildlife and beautiful vegetation on these trails.

This conservation area provides a very enjoyable nature walk; however, don't expect to see a lot of wild life. There are two trails - one off of State Route 16 that is less than a mile long and one off of International Golf Parkway near US 1 that is 2.8 miles long. The longer trail is a nicer walk and a bit more scenic. The highway is not far away and, at times, you can hear the traffic; however, it is mostly a very quiet and peaceful walk.

Nice walk with the dogs. It rained last night so there were some muddy areas. Saw a few birds that’s about it. Check your pup for ticks after we found 2 ?

Decent place to walk if you live in or visit the area and need a quick getaway from all the houses/cars. Otherwise, not worth making a trip out specifically. Not the most scenic area, but it’s nature close by. Slight road noise but nothing too bad at all. Very few people. Lots of trees, swamp, and no shade in the middle of the day. Well maintained on an old forestry road. If you’re not familiar with the area, there isn’t any signage except posted no trespassing. Couldn’t find a map on site. Made a wrong turn somewhere on the way back. Ended up on a private road that wasn’t posted in going out only vice versa. So plan ahead accordingly if you go. No bathrooms, parking lot is a small dirt one.

What a disappointment. I have been looking for places to enjoy nature that are not the beach, but this “conservation area” is extremely misleading. It’s a logging trail. The trail is not well marked nor cleared. It is not scenic and you can hear traffic and train horns the whole walk. You can literally see traffic at one point in the walk. The only nice thing was we were the only ones on the trail, but I can definitely see why now. Will not be going back.

This is open again, I went yesterday. Very quiet, a mile or two of easily followed tracks/trails. Not a whole lot to see (just scrub and pines and palmettos, no wildlife) but I didn't see a soul in an hour at 11am on Memorial Day. Maybe closed because of swamp/mud/water? It was mostly dry yesterday. Not as quiet as I had hoped, background noise from Rt 16 always there. BUT, a nice walk with the dogs.
