This is a small but beautiful nature park that is very scenic! There are a lot of large, mature Southern Oak trees providing shade. There is a small picnic area with 4 picnic tables. The park is right on Doctors Lake near the St. Johns River. It is great for a quiet walk or a walk with your dog. Also nice area just to take some beautiful nature pictures. There is a parking lot but there are no restroom facilities.

The park is a nice escape and is very quiet. Lots of work still to be done to make it into a perfect Orange Park attraction. If you stick to the walking trail, the going is easier. There are picnic tables but no restrooms. Limited trash receptacles are available, so it is best to pack your trash out with you. Not a lot for kids to do. Lots of space is available for fishing along the bank of Doctors Lake as well as a few places along the slough. If you want to enjoy the lake, bring a chair and enjoy the breeze and gentle lapping of the water. This is a great place to visit and take the dog for a walk. I visited on a Thursday evening for about an hour or so and only saw two local couples walking their dogs.

Update - 9-15-24 - the Park is currently water saturated because of all the rain and tides, but the house that was on the property is removed and there is a canoe / kayak launch on Doctors Lake within easy reach of the parking lot. Some amazing old pines and live oaks live in the park and it is a great place to fish, picnic or walk the dog. It is very quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful place with lots of potential for gatherings, and a nice slice of nature. Beautiful at sunset! I took a nice little stroll around with my dog, and enjoyed all the little fiddler crabs.

It’s nice, newer, and not overly funded, so over time I’m sure it will really become something very nice. Right now it’s a great quiet place to get away and take in an amazing view. The people that live by the park are really happy to have it in walking distance I’m sure!

I was just driving by and I decided to check it out. It doesn't look like it's been there too long but when I checked it out I was really impressed with the small craft launching dock. It seems like it's set up for handicapped people which was very impressive to me thank you Orange Park for providing access to that wonderful lake and river.

There is no restroom. Please do not litter as this is a conservation park for area wildlife. It is a nice spot to have a quiet moment and look out at the lake and birds. This is not a playground or a dog park. It is natural. Warning: There are mosquitoes, snakes, and alligators in the area. The ground is unlevel and often muddy. Picnic tables are available courtesy of a local Boy Scout troop. A kayak launch system has recently been added.

Very new park so not many amenities here but it’s lovely that Orange Park now has a park on the waterfront.
