Mr. Wilson, it has been three weeks since you abandoned our job indicating that you would "work out a plan to provide a significant refund for the work you were unable to complete in a timely manner." We have requested a refund of the $500 cash loan given to you which enabled you to pay your worker, and the $12,900 check we wrote for the final kitchen draw which brings the total payment you received to roughly $26k. The job abandonment left LED lighting at the top of our stairs non-functional which contributes to a tripping hazard. The sheetrock panel you removed in the dining room was not reattached. Tape, float, and trim was not completed for the replaced sheetrock. Only five of the 14 requested cabinets were constructed and installed, and those have been left unfinished in raw pine. Electrical receptacles were removed in the kitchen with bare wires left hanging. Purchased kitchen appliances and light fixtures were not installed. No countertops were installed or ordered as needed. Construction debris was left outside in the yard, under the house and on the porch. Construction debris was also left inside under the stairs and in the kitchen. No painting or flooring was done. We originally signed this contract on the 16th of March, 2021, yet you were unable to complete a kitchen in 14 1/2 months. Please contact us at your earliest convenience to resolve these issues. Thank you.
