Purchased a sectional sofa from Mobilia is in 2021. I spent $5,000 on this sofa and did not expect some of the cushions to start sinking as bad as they are. I did not purchase an extended warranty, as I never do for anything I purchase, because I feel the extended warranties are nothing more than a money grab for companies. I called Mobilia to see if there is anything they could do to replace the foam for me as I explained I have purchased much cheaper sofas in the past, and I have never had a cushion start sinking so quickly. The lady on the phone, didn’t catch her name, compared purchasing a car a car to purchasing a couch. You purchase a car, it is expensive, if anything goes wrong after warranty it is up to you to repair it.
I can say that with this kind of customer service, I will never shop again, or recommend Mobilia to people ever… items are extremely overpriced and the quality is not reflected in the pricing, nor is their customer service

I tried emailing [email protected] and it just bounced back. Called the Burlington store, they have no idea how to contact you, they gave me the Montreal head office number, they cannot help me. Please provide another contact

Excellent store and terrific customer service by Richard. He helped us select furniture for our space, was very patient with us and took his time to show and explain all our options. Do not hesitate to shop here and I really recommend Richard, you will be very pleased.
The delivery staff was also great, unpacked and set up with white glove service and they took away all the packaging.

My first Mobilia furniture purchases were made 20 years ago. The styles, quality and colours surpass all other furniture I have purchased. The items below were purchased a few weeks ago as we have down sized to condo living!
Atie Manka was our sales assistant who patiently spent a couple of hours with us as we mulled over the endless possibilities. Atie is one of a kind, warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable not just about all the products but she was also able to assist with some of our decor ideas. So if you ever visit Mobilia in Burlington, I highly recommend Atie!

Terrible service. I’m not sure why they even take down a phone number if no one is going to answer it.

I received a delivery with a broken item and was told it was in stock and I could pick it up in-store once available. After more than a week, I called to check on my order, and now they say it's at the distribution center. I was told to wait for my sales agent, to contact me—or that I could go pick it up from Mississauga, which is not convenient for customers at all.

Their refund policy is also terrible; they only offer store credit, not a cash refund. So, if you're unsure about an item, I’d advise against paying upfront. Otherwise, your money will be stuck as store credit, and you may end up paying a bit more for the item later because store credit doesn’t fully cover it.

Do not waste your time here. We loved the table we purchased but it was badly damaged when delivered, so we did not accept it. This happened over a month ago. Mobilia may have the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They simply did not respond for 3 full weeks despite multiple calls and emails.

On week 4 they offered to send us a floor model of the table we liked from a different store. We confirmed that this would work for us on Friday afternoon. Then on Sunday we received an email saying they sold the table they offered to us over the weekend.

Do not shop here!

Terrible service, would not recommend. Purchased a table. Came damaged. Call the day of the delivery and couldn't get a live person to discuss the damaged item. Phone line kept saying I was 1 of 1 in the queue, then would randomly hang up on me. Finally got someone in delivery and she commented was "Sorry, I can't help you, you will just have to call back another time as everyone is out for lunch!!" She can't take a message and arrange a call back?!? There is literally no one at Mobilia to speak with a customer? Especially after receiving a damaged item Called back in the afternoon; same loop thru their phone lines where no one answers. Terrible quality control and after the experience of trying to get help, I won't shop there again. Maybe instead of sending satisfaction surveys you could just answer your customers' phone call 🙁

Reply to Response: I have followed up multiple times, I was told someone would follow up; nothing! I have tried to get thru the customer service line and left messages. Really terrible service, sad that no one cares that I received a damaged item, no idea how to get a resolution. You'd think someone would like to speak with me immediately to make it right. Won't recommend to anyone.

Supposed to drop off furniture today, I was at the front door the entire window they were supposed to be here. They claim they knocked on the door but I never even saw a truck. Then the drivers won't come back today to fulfill their deliver. Absolute garbage service.

I have had a very similar experience with many reviewers here and particular, with the reviewer Maher Shoura. I would also like to provide everyone my shopping experience with Mobilia. Please read if you are considering making a purchase from this store.

Mobilia looks so pretty when you walk in. The sales team and service in the store was fine and we have no complaints there. We were in the store looking to purchase a sofa for our main living area; we ended up purchasing a couch that was “in stock” and delivered within a few weeks of being purchased.

The couch was delivered on Dec 6 2019 and we immediately noticed several issues with the couch. We bought a large sectional and the two ‘sections’ didn’t close/connect properly due to the cushions being too large. The end cushions were literally hanging off the couch as well. Also, we noticed that the stitching at the top of the couches was also very uneven, where it looked almost bumpy.

We emailed Mobilia customer support with photos of our issues and they sent a technician out on Jan 14 2020 to review the couch; this was the earliest appointment they had available. The technician agreed with my complaints and said that our couch would be replaced.

We have been dealing with Ms.Vish Balchand, the After Sales Service Representative who responded to our email, and let me tell you, I cannot believe how disappointing the ‘after care’ service has been. Please don’t get me wrong, I get that we are amidst Covid right now and that things have been delayed as a result of same, I totally get that, but how is it Nov 2020 and I still have not received any new couch, new cushions, nothing! We are going on one year with no resolution!

The biggest issue here is that we are not receiving any real responses. The responses we get from Vish are just terrible and she doesn’t ever address the issues at hand. I have asked her several times exactly what is being replaced (i.e. cushions, the entire couch, etc etc) vis-à-vis the technician’s report and she always gives me the run around and no real answer. I have asked for a copy of the technician’s report and of course, you guessed right that I have not received that the report or even the technician’s comments about our couch.

You want to know the best part? Our couch is now discontinued. On Jul 30 2020, Vish writes, “These pieces that you currently have are of a discontinued line that we no longer carry. I can send another technician to come in and take measurements of the correct size that you need in the cushions. Please let me know and I will make the necessary arrangements”. Please note that I responded to Vish the same day and have yet to receive any ‘arrangements’. In fact, I am still using the same couch that was delivered in Dec 2019.

It’s now Nov 3 2020 and I am still to this date waiting for a response from Mobilia. Given our couch is now discontinued, we should at least be provided with something, an exchange, a credit, something so that we can have and use a couch that we actually enjoy, from both a functionality and image perspective. So, all in all, I completely agree with other reviewers in that the service we have received is inexplicably horrible and extremely below average in regards to the amount we paid and we will never be shopping here again. You don’t always get what you pay for. Please find some pictures of our defective couch.
