Worthwhile spot to take a walk! We did use sunscreen & insect repellent before we ventured in for our nature hike. Lots of wildlife, birds and interesting things to see!
Did I mention FREE?

There’s two trails here. All trails map is a combination of the two. Both trails are marked if you pay attention. Only a very small part of the trail near the road is overgrown. I made it through no problem (just watch out for spiders web.) Most of the trail is nicely paved. There are benches along the way to sit and relax in nature. I didn’t experience many bugs this trip, just toasty out mid day. Make sure you bring water and sunscreen.

Great little preserve. Trails are clearly marked and parking was easy (on side of road)
Saw lots of indigo buntings and one immature/female painted bunting
Saw a fat raccoon lol
Grass carp in the pond and some cooters.
Maybe a little North American racer too !

Again, it’s on the smaller side but lovely 🙂
Thank you

Very small and not a place to get a lot of hiking miles but if you are looking for birding then this place is great - early morning is best at the bird feeder viewer. They also have walks and events here. We went during drought time in Florida and there is ZERO water!!!! Pond is totally empty.

Felts Audubon Preserve is a hidden gem. A nice short walk around two ponds with access points to view water fowl and other birds. A bird blind also provides views of local birds at feeding stations. Well kept trails through wetlands and forest environments. Not far from Bradenton Florida.
