It's a beautiful park. Plenty of space for the kids to play. There's a playground. Restrooms. The tower is handicap friendly. There are fishing areas and boat docks. It's a small lake so there is no wake speed limit.

Visited here a few years ago with my boyfriend to climb all through the trees. Just watched Matt the Welders video on Instagram and TikTok regarding the high radiation levels (500+ cpm) from the phosphate plant. This is insane and so toxic yet nothing posted informing visitors of the potential risk. *150 cpm and lower is considered safe.

The positive - This park in general is beautiful. Several docks and boardwalks to see wildlife.
Campsites have power and water hookups.

The negative -
•Park staff are not friendly. Constantly driving by to knit pick about anything and everything.
•Overflow parking and trash location is 3.7 blocks from campsites.
•Disability parking access is non existent.
•Staff refused on several occasions to recognize the ADA for reasonable accommodation that allow additional vehicle to park on campsites for disabled people.
•Staff stated that it’s their policy and procedures do not allow more that three vehicles per campsite regardless if disabled. (Camper without engine is considered a vehicle).

Takeaway- if you’re planning on camping prepare to be harassed daily. Staff aren’t knowledgeable about disabilities laws and accommodations.

This is a awesome place to visit and to camp at! The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the older lady at the check-in building is very very rude and smart mouths people and treats visitors like complete trash! She's talked to me like I'm nothing on several occasions and gave my wife the same treatment and my wife is the sweetest woman to everyone she meets. I hope nobody ever has to deal that lady!

It is an amazing park! So much to do from horseback riding to disc golf to picnic, fishing, kayaking. Great for the whole family. The only thing I wish you could do is reserve a campground, it's first come first served. Beautiful place to visit.

I'm trying to think of where to start with this review. There was just so much. So I'll just start by saying, this is a wonderful park to bring the kiddos out to have parties. It was very clean, including the restrooms and there were several pavilions with barbecue pits.

Everywhere you go has access to the lake with stunning views. Plus they offer canoe rentals if you want to venture out into the water. If you have your own boat, they have boat ramps for you to bring your own vessels out on the water. There's also several great spots for fishing. Of course be careful of the wildlife, snakes and gators.

My favorite thing about this park is the hiking trails! There's an area with these massive trees on hills. It's so cool! It's really fun for the kids to climb through the maze of roots and look out into the water. I personally think it's the best spot in the entire park.

Lastly, there's a lookout point that's about 4 or 5 stories y'all, that you can walk up to get an aerial view of the lake. Very pretty! This park is definitely one I would recommend. Oh and it's only $2/car to enter.
