We had a really great experience. We brought our two young children, and had a wonderful time seeing the different animals and learning their stories. I’ve never been so close to those animals before in my life! It was a very meaningful and educational experience.

My mom and I did a tour here yesterday and absolutely loved it. The care that the staff and volunteers put into the animals is amazing to see. Our guides were both knowledgeable and entertaining. Hearing about the individual stories of the animals, how they came to be there, and learning about their personalities and daily habits was a special highlight for us. I would highly recommend this place!

Wow! Wow! Wow!! This place is so great!! We had Tara (sp), as our guide, and she was so knowledgeable, funny, and patient. The animals are gorgeous and so well cared for. The property has shady places, some misters, and even benches,if you need them. I can't wait to come back again.

This was the best experience I've had in a long time. I took my 3 year old and he had an absolute blast. It's so refreshing to see animals look happy and loved like these ones are. The tour was 2 hours and so informative! Very engaging! We donated to the javelinas and Will definitely donate again!! Thank you southwest wildlife for giving these precious babies a chance at living!

I attended the Walk With Wildlife Tour in December. I would highly recommend the tour, especially if you have an interest in nature and animals. You will learn about the rescues mission and how they operate. You also will see some animals that are two accustomed to captivity to be released into the wild and remain in their care. I was impressed with the variety and the rescue. I hear they will be moving to a new, larger location within the next few years, and I hope to see that at some point.

Walk with the wildlife tour is guided so it does require paying attention to the guide for a couple hours, so it may not be best for young kids, or people who get bored quickly.

I was told there were other events that are more interactive, at night, and not guided (better for kids). I hope to check these out at some point when I am back in Arizona.

Kendra was an amazing guide on our first visit to the conservation today! She was very knowledgeable on all the animals and answered every question that came her way. We really found an appreciation for all the hard work every volunteer does to rehabilitate as many animals as they can but also homing animals that can't. We even got sung to by the Coyotes which was fun! Our group size of 12-15 (I didn't really count) was perfect for navigating some of the one way corridors. Can't wait to share our pictures and experience with our family and friends.

Southwest wildlife conservatory was an amazing visit. I'm so impressed with their tour guides knowing the story of each animal and how they came to be there. It was really interesting getting to see such magnificent beasts ? We were able to see wolves and foxes and bears, as well as owls and a giant tortoise, and deer and lots of others. Many of their animals are "in the back" because they're sensitive to people, but we still get to hear about them and how they're recovering before being released. Tours are by appointment only, but they were easy to book, and we just had a small group, so it felt very personal. I highly recommend going to learn about all of their guests and have a great time hearing all their stories and seeing some really amazing animals you might not otherwise get to see. They also have a cute little gift shop where you can get something to remember your trip!
