This place is an absolute fraud. I brought in an injured orphaned raccoon and they euthanized it within two hours for “severe dehydration.” I had already had him for 24 hours and am experienced in rehabbing animals but I am retired now and not licensed (the law states you have to hand them over within that timeframe without a license). I took him from not being able to hold his head up to standing and eating and drinking. I was told he “was on a downward spiral” which was 100% not true. I had visited and donated to this facility before and I was told on the phone the morning of the surrender that they do not even euthanize for distemper which convinced me to trust them with this little sweet innocent adolescent. I gave them money to aid in his specific care and what a total joke of a place this is. DO NOT trust this “rescue” as that is not what these people are. DO NOT donate money to this cause as they are obviously not in this for the right reasons and I unfortunately found that out the hard way… at the sacrifice of a sweet little helpless baby. RIP Tyson. You didn’t deserve this.

UPDATE: since I cannot respond to your response. Feel free to call me to discuss this instead of cowardly responding saying that I am lying. I assure you I am not. It was EXACTLY what was told to me on the phone, on speaker, in front of my husband and father in law at 1:52PM yesterday.

It’s post Hurricane Milton and the closest rescue has been literally demolished. I was searching my phone for help for an injured armadillo discovered during a morning walk. Finally got an answer here and the center sent a delightful lady named Sandy very quickly. She was an answer to prayer and had the little guy up and on his way to help in a matter of minutes. Please support them! They’re worthy of your rescue donations. ?

Had a very large and evasive soft-shell turtle stuck in our pool. The rescue was prompt with getting a volunteer out. The turtle is now safe in a new lake.

We called about a badly injured little bird friend, a mockingbird, and they dispatched someone immediately to come try and help the little fella out. The result wasn’t what I’d hoped for, unfortunately, but the woman in the phone who took my call and the man who arrived to rescue were kind and eager to help. I appreciate deeply people who help vulnerable animals.

Literally the best people — I had an injured young raccoon in my yard & didn’t want to call animal control or have it put down as I love animals and raccoons. I asked on Facebook bc I’m originally not from here and they told me to contact this wildlife center. Called them and within 15mins they were here & were the most amazing people ? It’s humans like these who make the world a better place and now this raccoon will get the help it needs and life a good life ? So so grateful and so much respect and admiration for all you people do!! ?

They took a baby mourning dove I brought, they put it in an incubator. I asked questions and I got answers! It was so nice to feel like I was leaving the baby in capable hands. One of the rehabilitators lives there to feed the babies. That's commitment. I give this place 5 stars!

I love the fact that this wildlife center is available to take in sick and suffering animals and nurse them back to health before releasing them into the wild.
