FIVE STARS! Saving the Blue is an exceptional non-profit organization that truly goes above and beyond! I had the privilege of joining one of their research trips in 2023, and it was an experience of a lifetime. The team's passion and dedication to marine conservation are truly inspiring. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and treated like family.

The educational aspect of the trip was phenomenal – I learned so much about marine life and conservation efforts. The hands-on experience with sharks in the Bahamas was both thrilling and enlightening. The team's knowledge and willingness to share their expertise made the entire experience even more enriching.

Not only was the trip educational, but it was also incredibly well-organized and accommodating. They took great care to ensure everyone felt comfortable and included.

If you're looking for a life-changing adventure that combines excitement, education, and the opportunity to make a real difference, I can't recommend Saving the Blue enough!

I had 2 amazing trips in Andros with Saving the Blue. To be able to help out an organization whose team are not only helpful but passionate about the conservation of sharks. The experience was awesome. You get to be apart of different jobs to writing up data to assist with working up the sharks. With other volunteers on trip, it's makes it a fun experience.

Had an amazing time with Saving the Blue in Andros, Bahamas in 2021. We spent a week going out on the boat learning and tagging sharks in the surrounding waters. There were also opportunities to swim and to relax together at the end of the day. By the time the week was over, we were a tight team working with amazing and powerful creatures in a way I never imagined. Highly recommend this opportunity and props to the fantastic Saving the Blue team!

I joined Saving the Blue for a research trip hoping to learn firsthand with time on and in the water. Annie and Tristan delivered a week full of more than I could have hoped for. Despite having zero prior experience with sharks, I never felt unprepared or unsafe. The week was definitely full of fun and adventure, but safety and the well-being of the sharks was prioritized. The passion and enthusiasm the entire Saving the Blue team has for ocean life, especially sharks, is contagious. The intentional effort put into trips helps to ensure that everyone and everything involved is positively impacted. I absolutely hope to be able to join for another shark-filled week.

My adventure with Saving the Blue was one that I would never forget! I gained so much hands-on experience and knowledge about sharks and other ocean life! I got to meet a group of extraordinary people and go to a school to teach elementary students about plastic. Saving the Blue focuses on sharks but also the community in Andros. I recommend this trip to others and will return if an opportunity presents itself!

There's something wonderful about spending time with people truly passionate about the environment, their work, and life in general. Saving the Blue created a welcoming environment that encouraged me to keep learning and take time for the sharky things I love. I absolutely recommend joining them, chances are you'll book another trip before you even return!

Saving the Blue is amazing! They do incredible work in the Bahamas to research sharks and wildlife in the area to see how they can preserve our amazing oceans for the future. I have had the privilege to be on one of the research trips to the Bahamas and was amazed at how much I learned and how hands on you get to be. I would recommend Saving the Blue and their sister nonprofit The Silent Hunter Group to anyone interesting in learning more about our oceans and conservation. Tristan, Annie and their whole team are amazing people to work with and I look forward to working with them again!! ?

I can't say enough about this organization. My first trip with Saving the Blue was back in Nov 21, about a decade since I conducted my own shark research in New Zealand. I am amazed how they have fused ecotourism with research to accomplish so much. Not only have they collected and published valuable data on shark behavior and conservation, but they continue to clean up local beaches, support local establishments and visit and engage local schools. I am thrilled to have found an organization that shares my passion for sharks and the environment. The accomodations aren't fancy but the food is amazing and the experience is once in a lifetime....or as often as you like. I am already signed up for my third trip!
