Robert Watson has impeccably restored 8 of our paintings and photographs over the last 15 years. He has a vast amount of knowledge about fine art and restoration. He is meticulous and takes his time, which we greatly appreciate. You'll find no better framer within Santa Cruz County!

I have been getting all my most precious art framed and restored by Robert Watson for decades. He has always been doing a wonderful job and is often surprising me with beautiful choices of materials, and colors juxtapositions. He is very knowledgeable and has helped me identify and date some pieces I brought to him for framing. His exquisite and minutious restoration work is always a delight! I highly recommend Watson Fine Art Conservation.

Robert Watson is a genius in the realm of custom framing. Every piece I have delivered to him has been carefully, creatively, and beautifully framed. His suggestions for design have always been imaginative and resulting in exquisite presentation. He is affordable and always delivers on time and is really easy to work with. I highly recommend him to you. As an artist, I bring everything to Robert Watson, to frame my work for my exhibitions, sales and open studios.

5/5

I’ve been bringing my prints to Robert for framing for the past 30 years. He’s always done superb work at reasonable cost. As a working commercial photographer for almost fifty years I’ve used several framing services and can say without hesitation that Robert is the best.

R.I.P. to a great photo by the famous Turkish photographer Atilla Torunoglu. It was a black and white of the Bosporus through a water-side arch from Greek or Roman times. In the background through the arch stood a castle looking down upon the water from a bluff. The water was a bit choppy. The photo was purchased in about 1968 by my parents in Ankara. I somehow inherited this gorgeous work of art, and it graced my walls for twenty years. Sadly, it is no more. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT trust this man with any piece of art you care about. I dropped off this one of a kind, irreplaceable photo for him to clean only. He decided to experiment with some sort of restoring agent, (we had agreed it was to be cleaned only), and ruined the photo. He did not ask if it would be ok to experiment on my photo. He did not experiment on a small part of the photo. He simply decided my photo was his guinea pig, and ruined it. I would give less than zero stars if possible. My photo is now garbage.
