with their unwavering support of P2014, The Nature Conservancy of Western NY has thrown in with the other misguided environmentalists while thousands of acres of usable wetlands have been destroyed by the out of control Lake level. Homes, cottages, businesses have been adversely effected twice in 3 years. While they blame it on climate change/precipitation amounts, the fact is that the IJC's mismanagement of the late winter lake levels will force this flooding on the entire Lake Ontario/ St. Lawrence watershed forever...

The Nature Conservancy is nothing more than a multi billion dollar Lobbyist firm. They are all about money, NOT the environment. One example is in New York they strongly support Plan 2014 on Lake Ontario which is one of the biggest Environmental disaster in recent years. All habitats are underwater and wave action destroying the shorelines, hundreds of trees washing away, some of which had eagle and Osprey nests, Turtles have no place to lay eggs, fish are forced to spawn on peoples front lawns which the eggs are then quickly destroyed by waves. Plan 2014 was sold as an environmental action yet it was NEVER about the environment, it was about more profit for hydropower and shipping. Theses lobbyists got lots of money to promote this plan that many environmentalist and scientist warned would do severe damage to the environment........they didn't care, they got their money.

They pretend to care about saving the environment but are only really about lining their own pockets. Salaries gobble up the majority of their donations, little is left to be spent actually making a difference. They are infested with corporate greed, where their never ending support of Plan 2014 favors shipping and hydro interests over the environment . The Nature Conservancy is responsible for one of the biggest manmade environmental disasters ever to hit Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence River. They are scammers!!!

A record amount of water is flowing through the great lakes. To blame the high waters on TNC is a bit misguided. Where would you like the trillions of tons of extra water to go? The staff I've met are compassionate people facing difficult challenges. Not easy letting a lake be a lake is it?

It’s deeply saddening to see this organization support Failed Plan 2014. The shores of Lake Ontario have been decimated by intentional flooding. The nature conservancy backs the lies told by the IJC and refuses fight for the environment that is being permanently destroyed and lost as a result.

This organization uses fear and emotion to squeeze donations out of you that pay their ultra-high salaries and generate more spin to further drive emotion. They do not care about real environmental issues, but they'd love to have your land.

The destruction of the lakeshore is in full swing thanks to plan 2104 How can anyone endorse this destruction..Lets harden the entire shore its more natural that way .

The expansion of preserved lands and hiking trails has been a blessing....especially during COVID.
