From the first phone call to set up a home appointment to the finished kitchen remodeling project we have nothing but praise for all the people that work with Smart Remodeling. When I first contacted them the office manager gave me a great overview of what they offer, what their work ethic is, and how they value communication and excellence. The initial appointment with the project manager was so positive because he listened to what we wanted and he too reiterated their desire to complete any project with excellence. We could ask any question and he was glad to answer. Once the project was started it went very smoothly. When there were hiccups they were quickly addressed with a "can do" spirit. The project manager made sure that everything was done in an excellent manner. He has great people that are very professional and expertly skilled. Our project was new kitchen cabinetry, countertops, lighting, and flooring. We are super pleased with the finished project. I would definitely call them again. We really enjoyed getting to know the owner and office manager.

We are very happy with the work done in and around our home. Everything looks so nice! The contractors and workers were friendly, diligent, and very competent. They all went out of their way to keep us informed, show us all the steps of progress, and ask questions about what we wanted. Each person arrived in a timely manner and when they left for the day their materials were all tidy and the debris hauled away. We’ve been very impressed from start to finish of all they did.

Let me start by mentioning that we have used another contractor in the past for other projects, and we have now found our go-to contractors with Smart Remodeling. Hani was so professional from the minute he stepped into our home. Immediately, he knew he needed permits and engineers for the massive undertaking of the project we wanted. I had received a couple of other bids, and not one of them mentioned getting engineers involved or permits, so this alone was a huge eye opener. We took out the load-bearing wall. Huge undertaking!
He gave us his personal cell number and I can tell you that there was not one time that he did not immediately respond back with either a text or a phone call If he was unable to answer right away. He is very professional and very kind. His contractors were respectful of our property and were great at each of their given professions.
He knew our vision and helped us bring it to life. We could not be more thrilled and in love with our new kitchen. Not only is the work absolutely amazing, but he was also very fair in his price. We will be recommending him to anybody who is ever wanting a contractor.
Our 80's home has finally gotten a major interior face lift!! Everyone who has seen the new kitchen has been jaw-dropped. When I say it looks like a completely different home, I mean it. I really had to put trust in myself when getting the appliances, hardware, counters, and fixtures, praying it all tied together, and I'm so happy with everything. Hani led us to a great countertop company to choose our slabs, and it was SO MUCH better than the place another contractor had sent us to prior to going with Smart Remodeling.

I was thrilled to find Smart Remodeling after several bad experiences with other contractors. This is the second time I've had them do a bathroom remodel, since I was so pleased with their first job. I'm on the opposite (northwest) side of Houston but they worked our job without issue.

Hani (general contractor) is honest and professional, and good about communicating if schedules change or problems arise. We used his crew M and V for most of the job - demolition, drywall, tile, painting, hardware installation, and finish work - and they were on-time and efficient every day. They cleaned up after themselves each day, which was important since we had a young baby around the house.

We opted to buy our own materials and use Smart Remodeling for labor and misc. supplies like drywall, insulation, plumbing and electric. I've actually never been to their storefront to know what they offer, but since we knew exactly what we wanted it was easy for us to separate labor costs from material markups and buy our own stuff.

The typical payment structure is 50% upfront, then 20% halfway, 20% at the end, and the final 5% after all minor details are complete. We wrote up a detailed bullet list contract up front and agreed on a price beforehand and I didn't get any price surprises at the end. I'd recommend making your quote request as detailed as possible so you both have the same expectations.

Overall really happy with how things turned out, and would be glad to have them do our next remodel.

I was convinced by all the positive reviews online that it would be a good experience, and I was not disappointed. Hani provides guidance, design ideas, and solutions - a true collaborator. He did not consider our project complete until it was clear that I was completely satisfied with the work. And I am!
