My family and I go to the zoo every time my daughter and her family come from California. We have a tradition of taking pictures in the same place with the kids. We all have a great time there and enjoy the animals. The new play area that just opened is pretty awesome. Our young teens even enjoyed it.
We ate at the Cafe a d the burgers and nachos were good.

Fantastic place! While a smaller zoo, it is beautiful. Great interactive area for children to play. I took my time and thoroughly enjoyed my hours spent here. The bird enclosure was had an amazing collection of unusual colored birds. It was busy on a Saturday so glad I went early

for only $10 this is hands down 1000 times better than the phoenix zoo in my humble opinion. it’s a perfect day trip only 2 hours from mesa! not only do the animals looks so healthy but there is so much green here everywhere making it look alive. the animals are all so lovely and happy here! they are all well kept and it’s great to see a zoo be so humane. THE PRICE IS GREAT TOO ♥️

It's a nice little zoo. We decided to check it out honestly because of the price of entry. 30 bucks for a family to go hang out and see some animals? Worth it. It took us about 2 hours to walk around and check everything out. I would plan for a little longer if you're looking to do encounters as the lines for those seemed to get a little long. Didn't eat there but the menu seemed pretty diverse and well priced for a zoo so probably worth checking out. If you have a couple hours to kill and aren't looking to break the bank then for sure check it out

Wow. What an amazing zoo. The facility is modern and the animal habitats were well thought out and often seemed very spacious. We went on a weekend, and it was very popular with young families. There were many interpretive guides stationed around the zoo to tell you more about the animals and how the zoo helps with conservation efforts globally.

For young kids, there were additional things to do such as ride a small train or go on a carousel. Both of these were a small fee. There was also a large playground.

If I come back to Tuscon with my son, we will go again!

The Reid Park Zoo is well worth the drive from Phoenix. The grounds are very well maintained and the animal exhibits are designed in such a way that it creates great opportunities for photography. Navigating the zoo is very easy and enjoyable for young children and adults. The elephant exhibit has a wonderful waterfall and is a large area for them to roam.
I gladly make the drive from Phoenix and take advantage of their annual membership. As an amateur photographer it is well worth the investment.

This zoo is a lot of fun. Not too overcrowded, or too expensive. There's a lot of shade along the paths.
I think the hours are a little too short, and since they are short use the time before and after hours to do your maintenance on the enclosures. People pay to come see the animals, not do maintenance on the animal enclosures.
Aside from that, everything was perfect.
