Oak City Customs was absolutely fabulous to work with. I had a slab of red maple burl that I needed some help with, to make an adjustable desk. Dylan and his team, especially Logan, were great. They did exactly what I asked, which was get the wood to a certain point, then I sanded and finished on my own. Not to mention they added a beautiful piece of Costa Rican parota right down the middle, which gave a nice contrast. Next time I’ll just purchase my slab directly from OCC, as the pieces I saw there were outstanding. I love the fact that they are local and just down to earth. I most definitely will be using them in the future.

Oak City Customs far exceeded our expectations in the creation of our stunning walnut countertop. It looks gorgeous, and the feel is unexpectedly smooth and natural as well. We weren’t expecting that with the finish they put on it. The craftsmanship is remarkable, communication and professionalism was excellent. We can’t recommend Oak City Customs enough. (The colors look a bit pink in some of the photos but not in real life)

Oak City customs is very beginner friendly! Spent some time looking for a shop to plane, 180 sand, and cut my epoxy river table. I kind of dived head first into wood working after watching Blacktail studios on youtube. Went straight to making a 7 ft by 3 ft epoxy table. They helped me plane and cut it to size. I also let them sand it with 180 grit, which I'm glad I did when I took the table home to finish sanding.. They also gave advice and answered any questions I had there. Seriously, a big thanks goes out to JJ and Joel. They were awesome!

Will be going back to them for wood too. The walnut I used in my table wasn't the same shade of walnut, so I'll be going to Oak City for slabs in the future instead of facebook marketplace.

I've been looking for some nice, natural wood to turn into shelves for my home renovation and OCC more than delivered with these solid maple shelves. They let me pick my wood planks and even cut them down to size. They really pull the kitchen and bathroom together and I look forward to getting some more in the future. ?
