The demonstration garden was helpful to highlight local & native plants for my Yucca Valley garden...among other important work they do. Happy Earth Day and many more to MDLT!! ?

Great organization doing some much needed conservation work for the desert. I support them with a membership as well as taking advantage of the great plant sale they offer.

Don't let the uneducated people at the front window steer you away from this place. They have a lot going on that worth checking out!

We were at a well-attended star party the MDLT organized at Amboy Crater, a place free from light pollution. It was very well-organized and very informative. The dark night sky is one of the vanishing desert treasures to be explored and understood. Public outreach and educations like this should be supported and rewarded. We bought a tee-shirt and pressed desert flower to show support for these timely & enthusiastic environmentalists and left a cash donation as well. We'll be back for another event!

Went to a good friends memorial service here. Beautiful structure, warm accepting atmosphere, a little cold at night during the winter obviously so wear layers if planning a visit after sunset. As for three character of the employees/volunteers at MDLT; you'll find yourself in the company of "Good Human Beings" -D.W. (R.I.P. 2019)

Went to their annual desert plant sale with the hope of finding some inexpensive Palo Verde trees, or Desert Willow and I wasn't disappointed. I bought eight Palo Verde trees about eight inches tall for one dollar apiece. Most did not have leaves, but all had a very strong looking trunks so I feel they will all be plantable next year when I will begin landscaping my front yard.
