I love coming here. It's awesome to have an off leash park to let my high-energy dog run around freely, sniff the trails, and go for a swim to cool down after. The lost and found box is such a nice feature, especially for anyone going on a hike with their dogs or kids. I try to make a trip out every week, but even if I can't manage it, I still end up coming whenever I have the time to spare for a drive. I personally find it so peaceful and really enjoy the exercise as much as I say it's for the dog. I have walked the park too many times to count, and I think even still, I come across a new path to explore. The main board in the parking lot features trail maps and will warn you if it's hunting season which areas to avoid on which day. I enjoy that every season brings a beautiful new look to the area, and in the fall, you can find a few wild apple trees. The trails are well maintained, I'm assuming by the farmers, but I could be mistaken. There's a few paths with tall pine trees that have a crazy amount of limbs. Whoever participates in the maintenance makes sure to cut the pieces that would stick out into the trail and poke anyone but they do so in a respectful manner and will leave the odd stick pile for the dogs to enjoy. I think it's neat that there's still some remains of the Base that was previously there and the reading that goes along with it. The park is so large that even on weekends, I can always find a path to walk along that is private. I could honestly rave about this place forever. I hope if you haven't yet been you'll consider it! I moved an hour away, but u still frequent because there's nothing quite like it around.

Love taking my dog here for off-leash walks! Beautiful and well kept area. She loves to jump and splash in the ponds, and it’s a good place for those who are directionally challenged (like myself) because the main trail is a loop!

A surprisingly large wildlife area that apparently has 40km of path, there are a variety of areas to explore. There are three different parking lots, from the main one off of Fingal line to two smaller back ones. Each makes it easy to get to the immediate walking paths, and for longer walks you can connect to the rest of the area. There are maps and markers, but some of the markers have worn out so at times it can be difficult to find some of the connecting paths (though I do have a habit of getting a bit lost). The only thing to watch out for is hunting season; from November to February on certain weekdays you can only hike from a certain area at the front parking lot as the rest of the place allows hunting. This is well described on the signs at each entry, you just need to be aware. Overall this is a great place for a walk, and even for a nice outdoor lunch at one of the benches.

This Conservation area is amazing.
The area was an old RCAF military base, in 1965 the area was acquired by Ministry of Natural Resources and is now a wildlife habitat.
There is little remains of what it was all over the place great for exploring.
There a ton of trails parking in two spots excess from two roads.
Pet friendly.
Baby stroller friendly.
There was a washroom at front gate but I think it's closed due to covid.
There are picnic tables all over seat benches.
Very well maintained trails.
Great for walks, biking, hiking.

A great place for a family walk or reflective saunter. Get lost in the historic property which housed an RCAF training base during WW2. Pet friendly, kid friendly, and full of wildlife. There are public out-houses near the entrance about 200m south of the parking lot.

A great place if you need some quiet time to think, or explore the many trails they have here. Some info boards are along the way to give some insight of the history here as well. Great all season long!
