What a great find local to me too !
I approached Emily to ask if she would upholster my garden furniture, as my cushions were torn and marked. She quoted me within a few hours and I bought the all weather material and dropped it all off . The seat cushions were done in no time and have to say look absolutely amazing on my reclining garden chairs . I can’t speak highly enough of the workmanship that has gone into this transformation. All the staff I’ve met have been very welcoming and polite too .
I would highly recommend Emily for any furniture upholstery work .
Oh and the shop is lovely too !

We recently took part in a furniture painting course with Em and Jane. We were able to take along a piece to work on and “learn on the job” and so took away a lovely piece of furniture when we were finished.

The course was informative on the various tricks to make the furniture look great but was very fun too!

All paint, materials and lunch was included so was really good value day out.

The shop hosted my daughters 8th birthday party which involved painting a pottery item of their choice. I would definitely recommend, the children had a good time and the tutor, Sam, was really nice and very patient with the children. Thank you.

An appealing shop but indiscriminate with stock and hit and miss opening times. Prone to be a touch untidy with clients furniture and (sometimes smelly) chairs ; it’s hard to see all of their goodies because of these items in the way. They will move things if you ask. Shipping on Frenchie paint is expensive so I prefer pick up but recommend phoning to check stock first as it can be haphazard
All things considered, a nice shop with friendly staff. The owner can be a bit officious and overweening but she’s Italian so perhaps that is her way and she’s just passionate about her business. Sometimes overpriced for but worth a mooch if you are keen on more quirky home and shabby chic decor.

Emily has just painted our kitchen. It is a large hand made kitchen in traditional style.
She has transformed it and saved me spending circa sixty thousand pounds on a replacement.
Her attention to detail is second to none and i would highly recommend her to anyone needing this type of work.
Very reliable and totally trustworthy to leave alone in your home.

We had a chair that was internally in good condition but externally was dull, stained and just generally unappealing. We took it to Emily to be reupholstered and are delighted with the results. The chair looks beautiful and communication was great. Also feel much better that we had the chair reupholstered as opposed to replacing it.
