I was looking to do extensive repairs on my father's vintage leather jacket, and after some hefty research via the web, found Denim Doctors. I spoke with Zip at length about the work I wanted done and he even offered great recommendations in the garment district downtown for the perfect jacket liner replacement.
Denim Doctors is an experience and I would highly suggest taking a stroll around with Zip to fully take in all it's wonders. Along with an impressive repair shop, there's a well curated retail space stocked with beautiful custom pieces.
They wasted no time and the repairs were done quickly. I'm beyond thrilled with the finished product and their attention to detail. It feels like a custom piece, while still holding all the integrity of my father's well worn jacket.
I was nervous putting a precious possession in the hands of strangers, but Zip and his team clearly understood it's sentimental value.
Denim Doctors is known for their expert work in denim, but should also be known for their masterful leather works. The quality and value is unmatched.

My favorite jeans ripped right across the back as I was wearing them (a nightmare)— and they also were developing holes near the fly and the denim was thinning. Denim Doctors did an amazing job. Not only did they finish the repair much faster than originally anticipated, but the darning is flawless and will surely extend the life of these pants. AMAZING repair and TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The hole I put in the knee looks as if it was never there (I fell down a hill on my trip to LA). I had two leather jackets worked on by Denim Doctors, and I could not be happier!

I needed one jacket altered, and they were able to alter the sleeves at the shoulders to save all the detailing around the cuff. The jacket now fits great and I am very happy with it.

My second jacket was a black one that had a strange chemical/acid stain down the length of the back that I was not able to get fixed anywhere else, but Denim Doctors saved the day...and my jacket.

During the entire process, they were extremely responsive, and I would highly recommend Denim Doctors to anyone.

I had an old pair of boot cut jeans that I needed tapered and Zip and crew were extremely knowledgeable/helpful in getting me the correct taper width to give me a really nice custom feeling pair of denim. These are like a brand new pair of jeans, so glad I can wear them again

My go to denim repair/tailor. They are located in Los Angeles but do ship nationwide if you ship your garments in with measurements and tailor instructions. Their service is on the pricier side compared to your neighborhood tailor shops, but with that comes outstanding craftsmanship. I’ve had half a dozen pairs tailored or remodeled by them, and my jeans always come back with perfect fit and no signs of tailoring. This is the place to go to alter your most prized and favorite pieces.
