Update: NO refund as promised
But was asked to remove the post .
we only stayed 9 hours out of the 2 nights I paid for and was lied to about getting a full refund this is not a safe camping site for families

My experience for the first time at this campsite, As our favourite place was full 😭 So I took myself my sister and our kids here to have a weekend away. The first night that we were there we had some issues. The people beside us pulled in and started right away. We knew were going to have some problems as the father and mother were screaming profanity at their children, and just acting very rude and arrogant as the night went on, they were being very loud. We tried to ignore it, but then they turned on a great big light and it was aiming right at our tent. I waited till almost midnight thinking they would turn it off they didn’t so I went and got a tarp and put it across the back of my tent as we could not sleep, they still did not turn it off. I went over and asked him. Could you please turn this light off? He yelled no ,I said you are keeping me awake and my family he said I don’t care. I said you don’t care he says nope I said that’s fine. I’m going to go find the Rangers, he told me to F off so I went and found the Rangers the Rangers showed up.They asked him to turn the light off, he turned it off for about two minutes, thinking that the Rangers have left so he and his wife turned it back on as he realized the Rangers were still there, he started getting more arrogant and the wife,He then came to my campsite with a metal bar with a hook on the end ( fire poker ) as the rangers seen him do also. Then threatening my family with it, and his wife got in our face thinking she was scary yet she was just making herself look stupid ,The police showed up and told him to turn the light off. The Rangers were very kind and offered me and my family another site so we took it. The Rangers helped us move our stuff but in the process we got to the campsite by 2 AM, someone had stolen everything that the Rangers took over for us about 30 minutes later the Rangers found it at another site and brought it back and said to all of us we are sorry the other crazies on this side of the site stole it. by then me and my family had enough. We packed everything up and we left. This is the worst experience I have ever experienced at a campsite. We have never had any issues in our life Until last night we ended up leaving and the other guy ended up staying to us It felt like nothing was done so this campsite we will never go to again. It is full of crazy people. We were told we would get a refund and a weekend free of camping, at another place, but I don’t think we’re going to ever see any of that $160 Back as it was $120 for the site and another $40 for 2 day pass for 2 other cars we had ,It’s sad how the crazies get to stay and the good people have to end up leaving. As you can see in the photo that is the light that was shining into my tent and my family‘s tent all night and the other photo is him on my campsite with a pole rod with a hook in it that he used to attack my family and yet he is still there enjoying his weekend And me and my family are at home. It really upsets me because I had to work three weeks straight morning and night because I work healthcare to get this weekend off so my family and my sisters family could spend some quality time together This experience at Dalewood has made it so my kids don’t ever want to go camping and neither do my sister’s children again. They should have been kicked out but they get to enjoy their weekend still, we left as this was a HUGE safety concern that was ignored.
They said the guy was evicted the next morning so why keep a dangerous person on the property that could potentially harm other campers in the night. Makes absolutely no sense at all and we have to wait for the refund yet we were all put in danger because of a crazy camper.

Stayed for Labour day weekend.

- long 8o foot sites
- lots of seasonals
- New power with good flow
- 50 psi water pressure
- #146 & #147 are the perfect spots if you want to face a friend without the utiliy pole in the middle
- no sewer
- ratty picnic benches
- hard grass surface
- little bit of road noise for our site
- constant park patrol
- do not recommend swimming in reservoir. Water crafts yes
- lots of dogs and gulf carts
- propane bangers firing in nearby field. Bit annoying
- $9.00 for fire wood
- good dump site with new hose
- gated entry
- nothing really to do here so bring friends

The sites are the perfect size. We had our site for 2 nights, and we were beside the playground. The sound didn't carry and it wasn't as loud as I thought it would be. The size of the site was big enough that even our neighbours beside and behind weren't overly loud. We didn't have wildlife rummage through our stuff in the night...and I got pretty quiet once the sun went down. The pool is salt water and was excellent to float around in. The showers and bathrooms were all within a few seconds walk. This will be our new go to campground. So close to home, but felt like a vacation spot. Loved it!

Be prepared to give a LOT of info to get into park just to use boat launch. It's kind of comical really. You'll get asked 50 questions. I'm not applying for a mortgage. Here's my 10 bucks... can I just use the launch

Water level is very low, 2 feet deep for much of the body of water, murky water.

Nice campground. Clean. Big Playground for kids. Because the railway is nearby, you can hear the train horn when it pass the railway crossing. Fire wood costs about 10CAD
