Dave Font is a scammer and shister. He took as much money as he could from our church St. Virgilius And then left the building half done. He really left the church in a mess.
Also the first review was written by his real estate agent who makes all the homes in broad channel slum homes just ask any resident. If I could I give them both zero stars I would ?

This company goes above and beyond when building a home. The company’s owner, Dave, is hands on and makes sure every little thing is done correctly. Over the years he has built many homes in Broad Channel, his professionalism and reputation speaks for itself in this Queens community. If you are looking to build a home or have renovations done, I would highly recommend D Handy.

I met David and his team when they worked on homes for the "Build It Back" program. His team carried themselves professionally, delivered the project on time, and was accommodating to all homeowners they worked with. I recommend David for any home improvement projects.

This guy took on a job that no one else wanted because it is the first log house in NYC and more importantly, it was part of the Build It Back program. He is fully licensed and insured, he is really clear about what he can, can't and won't do -- yet he built a log house without ever having done so before and did a great job. If he is unsure that something requested by the home owner is not a good idea, he will out and out say so and explain why. He was willing to take on our job that had unbelievable challenges, but his work is solid, he stands behind it and fixes things that are problematic without tacking on new charges. He has taken care of our punch-list without my having to chase him down. He is capable of building quality, high-end projects and all without bashing you over the head with outrageous costs, he is fair. He is always on time, so much so that there were times we weren't ready when he was and he let us know that he doesn't screw around. His contracts are clear and spell out what will happen, how and for how much. He's not one of those contractors who asks you what your budget is and then hikes his prices according to your wallet, he gives a realistic estimate and as costs change due to either market prices for materials, or upgrades that are asked for, that is then communicated and memorialize in a contract addendum. There were also some extras that he did for us that has saved us the need to plan for another project down the road, that was a boon for us! Last, but not least, he was willing to work with me, a woman, as the go-to for our project, and I never once felt disrespected or condescended to. Bottom line, this man and his company can build your house like he did ours, or do larger or smaller projects just as well, and his finish work will make you very happy, it has for us.
