We have original maple veneer kitchen cabinets from 1954. We LOVE the simplistic beauty of them, and wanted to bring these classics back to life. We spoke with different companies, received quotes, and decided to go with Ian and his business Cabinet Renovations. Our kitchen cabinets had alot of sun damage, and Ian was very honest about the process and expected outcome. He was very easy to communicate with, arrived at our house to work when he said he would, and completed the job within the time he had told us. We could not be happier with the final result!!! Our 67-year-old kitchen cabinets have been saved, and have a new life! We will not hesitate to recommend Ian and his business. Ian takes pride in his work, and is a true craftsman. I have posted 2 sets of "BEFORE" and "AFTER" pictures. They look so rich now!

Absolutely above and beyond quality and service from Ian DuBois and Cabinet Renovations! Earlier this year we were approaching the planned listing date to sell our house. We made a last minute decision to have the original “pickled” oak cabinets refinished. Ian agreed to take on the project (even while working a trade show at the same time). Their pricing was competitive, and Ian did a great job of explaining the cost. He also offered to take on some extra jobs, including the main floor powder room and utility room, plus he supplied advice and assistance with the cabinet hardware. The results were amazing! The job was completed on time! I believe the refinishing work by Cabinet Renovations was one of the main reasons our house sold quickly. Thanks again!

Cabinets look like new! Our 30 year old maple cabinets never had handles installed, and the lacquer had worn off and were dirty from years of pulling on cabinet doors and drawers without handles. Ian thoroughly cleaned everything, sanded down to bare wood where necessary, and matched up the stain and lacquer to look like new. He drilled holes for handles and now they look better than new. Much easier and cheaper than replacing cabinets. I didn't want to part with my maple doors. Took 3 days to do entire kitchen. Would highly recommend.

We are very happy with the work Cabinet Renovations did on our kitchen cabinets. They look much better now. Ian was very good at explaining all the steps in the process. He and his assistant worked hard and finished the job in 2 days. The price was very reasonable.

Our kitchen cabinets – cherry, with a moderately light, golden-honey stain -- were looking ratty after years of daily use. They were structurally solid, but they no longer looked good, particularly around virtually all the edges, where moisture had taken a toll.

We decided refinishing was the way to go, so we contacted Seattle Cabinet Renovations, and met Ian. We liked his approach to pricing, and decided the cost was reasonable, in light of all the wood surfaces he would be refinishing. He started the job when he said he would, and he finished when he said he would. I was stunned that he could do so much in a short amount of time.

The cabinets now look virtually the same as they did the day they were installed. You have to look hard (and know where to look) to find traces of the various dings, etc. We’re very pleased with his work. It’s as though we have new cabinets.

I should mention that Ian is very personable. We enjoyed having him in our home. He’s also considerate, as shown by the fact that when he found a broken hinge, he replaced it without charge. Likewise, when he noticed two shelves that showed water damage (from storing cups and glasses that were not entirely dry), he repaired the shelves without charge, even though shelving was not part of the deal. We’re happy to recommend him.

We just had our kitchen cabinets restored after approximately 21 years of use. It was a lot of work, but Ian Dubois of Seattle Cabinet Renovations did an outstanding job. They look beautiful. Ian finished on time, three days of labor (and one day of drying). Ian was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He also helped us learn a lot of new stuff as well! He was meticulous and caring about the quality of his work and fair in what he charged. We strongly recommend Ian for anyone wanting to make their cabinets as beautiful (or more) as they were when you bought them.
