A brilliant place to spend a few hours. The animals are great - it isn’t too big - and you can get really close. It is also fantastically organised with keeper talks almost consistently! The nature feels at home here - with a mix of enclosures and walk through. There is also a great cafe. Would recommend for all ages!

This place is an absolute gem. The talks about various wildlife were delivered with such knowledge and humour. You could easily spend the whole day here. By the time a talk had finished it was time to amble to the next talk. I saw my first ever red squirrel, that had to be my highlight, closely followed by the otter and owls. We will be back! Also there's a well stocked shop and a nice cafe

While ago we were driving to Eastbourne and our journey led us passing BW Centre. I decided to save and put it on our bucket after reading the reviews.

Today was the day we came ?. The actual place isn't big at all. Ideal with younger children who would moan to walk too much. I highly recommend to join the animal talks as during the talk you will have the best chance to see the animals being active.
Our day started at 10:30 at the red squirrels. The animal care taker put the food out and a red squirrel ?️ was enough brave to show up ?.
We had the same experience with the foxes. One of them only showed up because his carer was feeding him. He was a really playful and super friendly.
Then we joined the otters and wild cat talks. Loved observing the animals!
We spent good 4 hours moving around slowly.
Everybody had a good time.

In this review, you have the opportunity to see some of the large, terrestrial animals that are present there, as well as a nocturnal bird. It should be understood that the photos were taken on a rather gloomy day, so I predict that the place is much livelier on a summer day.

Brilliant place. Really good and flowing timetable of animal talks that don't clash so you can easily see all of them. It provided a really good education on British animals and the enclosures are very visible. Animals vary from red squirrels to snakes, deer to owls, and weasels to pole cats. There are about 9 Scottish Wildcats too which is great as they said there are only about 50 pure breds left in the wild.

What a fantastic set up.
The animals are extremely well looked after and in amazing large realistic environments to replicate their natural habitats.
The keeper talks were ALL fantastic. Well done to everyone. All happy to answer any questions.
So glad we fell upon this amazing centre on Google. We literally did a full day 10am -5pm and if it had still been open could have happily enjoyed more.
Seeing pine martens has been a wish for many years, we have finally seen a living one or should we say multiple. Was so worth it. Then there was seeing pole cats, just stunning, so cute.

The badger set is unbelievable, being able to see them asleep and moving around inside is so special.
The wildcats are just gorgeous even if they are wild for sure.
The owls, hedgehog, all 3 foxes, as Basil finally came out just before home time, deer, red squirrels, mice, the Otters, Stoats, Weasels, all allowed us a glimpse of their lives. Only the water voles, door mice, bats and snakes that were in hibernation were not seen. Feel unbelievable lucky to have seen as much as we did and will definitely visit again when in the London area. Better day out than the hustle of the city.
So many photos taken and to revisit once home. Happy memories.

Lovely place for children and adults alike. The talks every half hour are brilliant. Animals look happy and well cared for.

Lovely day out with the kids. Priced well, clean and well maintained. Animals are very well looked after and seems very happy
