John showed up to my house back in Oct 17' based on a simple recommendation from my landscaper. I proceeded to walk him through my requirements and expectations to complete a simple fencing job as was the recommendation. During my conversation, I asked if he had any knowledge of bathrooms and he replied yes. I asked if he had knowledge of concrete and masonry work and he replied yes. I asked if he could tackle my laundry room remodel and he responded yes. I say these things not because he said he could complete these projects, but because in the time that I have known him over the last 3-4 months of a complete backyard transformation, I have come to expect that John Faulkner should be considered for any type of job or construction requirement possible from a home owner.
In those 3 months, he completed my fence, a culvert creek project, a new staircase and upper deck remodel, a new pergola, two backyard porches, new front driveway, new laundry room with sink and tankless water heater, and I side room complete with new paint and blocked entry way. He did all of this mainly by himself and he met literally every hurdle I put in front of him, including project time frames.
John is the best contractor I have ever dealt with, period. He is a honest, sensible, and diligent construction perfectionist. He will stay late and work with you when problems arise. He will rework a section of fencing to ensure my wife is satisfied with every detail of the project. He stayed with me several times to help on completely unrelated honey-do projects just to be neighborly. He is a great guy and one of the most knowledgeable people I know.
John is not some owner/contractor that comes in, bids a customer, is absent when the work needs to be done and has a second in command come and collect a check. He was there from the bid to the work to the review to the clean-up. Speaking of clean up, he does it on a daily basis on a large scale project…incredible. He is not only going to be my contractor for life, but I now consider him a true friend, and that is something that you don't get very often from a simple fence job. Thank you John for everything, truly.
