B&D Construction did a major stucco/metal facade restoration for our Midwood Brooklyn condominium.

From planning to final completion the folks at B&D were easy to work with, reasonable, and thorough. I would work with Shah and Rony again, and recommend them to others.

The work included:

* Stucco patching and Thorocoat on the East and North walls.
* Metal restoration and painting on all of the East and North window wells, balconies, and parapets
* All windows caulked and resealed.
* The east garage drain concrete repaired.

B&D Construction is a masonry contractor with integrity. The principals of this second-generation family company are committed to customer satisfaction. B&G was not the lowest bidder for the six-figure repointing and basement waterproofing job at our century–old Park Slope, Brooklyn coop. But their detailed bid and conversations with us showed they understood what needed to be done. Their workers were diligent and friendly. The managers were regularly available. Billing was well-handled. When any unexpected issues arose, they were addressed to our satisfaction. A job this size is not without give and take, but when the contract was completed we were absolutely satisfied with the scope and quality of the work. B&D’s expertise prompted us to ask them to undertake a number of small related jobs, several of which were done for free. We would go back to B&G in the future if we had similar work to do. B and D just finished the work on both the front and back cornices of my Brooklyn townhouse. It is a 130 YO building on a landmarked block. The crew was careful and clean. They restored the front woodwork beautifully, painted the back of the house and replaced the wood in the back that had been destroyed by squirrels. They worked around the terrible rainy weather with good communication and made sure they finished in a timely manner despite the set backs. They restored our landmarked building with ease.

I am please to write a review about our most recent experience with B&D Construction for  masonry work done for a 4 story residential brownstone building in Carroll Gardens.   We have used B&D in the past for refacing the brownstone staircase landing leading up to the main entrance. It has been nearly a decade and the work has withheld several seasons of hot and brutal cold temperatures and still intact and pristine as the first day.
We hired them again this summer to do brick refacing on the back wall of the building due to water seeping in from the deteriorating brick mortar.  After bidding the project, B&D provided us with options on how to proceed and we opted for full re-facing vs. brickpointing.  (see before/after photos attached)
Their work was done in a timely and professional manner.  The crew couldn't have been more courteous and conscientious to detail.  Our tenants anticipated there'd be some disturbance early morning and weekends but they were pleased to report that the crew worked tirelessly and silently throughout the weeks onsite and demonstrated respect during their brief encounters with them.  They'd arrive promptly and some evenings continued past dusk to finish applying each layer of the process allowing interval days to dry before applying the next layer until the final waterproof sealant was applied.  The job also involved scraping, rustproofing and painting the fire escape and drainpipes from top to bottom.  Once finished, the cleanup was meticulous and immaculate...right down to washing all the windows before departing.  B&D is a family-run business and has proved to provide the same quality of work from our first project to the current one.  Before the project began, I checked references provided and also spotted their ongoing work throughout the neighborhood so I made it a point to privately embarked on my own personal inspection on my way to work in the morning.  I'm pleased to see their business is thriving and in healthy competition with other restoration/renovation.  I have already determined that I will be using B&D Construction for my next project in Spring 2020 and would be happy to offer a more detailed recommendation and referral if/when needed. We recently purchased a Brownstone house Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn. We need Brownstone faced restoration, Cornice repair and Brick pointing rear of the house. I called few construction companies and the B&D Construction provided us with a comprehensive review and estimate which made so much more sense. B&D Construction was professional on every level. Detailed explanations were provided for each step and all of my questions were answered. The work on the Brownstone facade restoration, brick pointing, and Cornice repair was done expertly and skillfully, with products that seemed superior. They were on the job everyday as promised and they actually finished prior to the projected completion date. They were careful to protect our household items, and when finished they did a great job cleaning up the work area. Lastly, we felt the fee charged for these repairs was very reasonable as compared to another estimate we received. Hands down I would absolutely recommend B&D Construction as I found them to be extremely professional, fair-minded and honest in their approach, and their quality of work superior.
