Buyers Beware!

We visited the D’CASSA showroom over a year ago and was promised supreme quality. After waiting close to 6 months, we finally received our cabinets. However, during installation, we noticed that they had a ton of poor craftsmanship spots. From the photos, you will see all kinds of damages from poor finish of the doors, chipped spots and horrible attempts touch up without our knowledge, warped doors, uneven finishes, missing door panels, etc. We have asked them to replace the doors to new condition as they have not been able to repair them locally. Now they are telling us we need to wait another 20-22 weeks for the replacement of the doors. To make matters worse, our contract was the received lacquer doors in which they only provided lacquer doors on only 3 sides with the back being a PVC, more cutting corners! Now they are demanding full payment and trying to leave us with these poor quality doors. During the sales process, we were sold a poor bag of goods. I highly recommend that you research this company as they do not control their own manufacturing. They source it out to someone other company in another country. Meaning, if you have missing pieces in your kitchen like I currently do, then you aren’t going to get them right away. Do yourself a favor and see if its best to go local. Their position is that these doors are acceptable condition? Do you honestly think a new kitchen should look like this? Especially after paying a premium for lacquer doors? I’ve been in the construction industry for over 20 years and never seen a contractor not take responsibility for their poor work like this before.

We started planning our kitchen cabinets with Decasas in December 2023. We selected, completed selected our design. We signed the contract and gave our deposit in January 2024.
After production delays and corrections our kitchen is still not complete as of November 2nd 2024.
At first there were delays with production of the cabinets, which my wife Ana and I understand because of the nature of being a custom product. After 6 months we received the cabinets only to have several doors and panels being the wrong size and design. The measurements of those doors were taken again. After 3 months the doors again came in the wrong size. During this period of time Decasas switched venders. The replacement doors took about 2 1/2 months. At this point only 3 panels were installed and the remaining 3 doors did not arrive.
Since they have switched vendors, the replacement doors were not the same color and have a different texture of the door material. They have already been painted twice and do not match the color of the original cabinet doors. Even though they have used the exact same computer shade guide of paint. The colors just don’t match. Our kitchen should have been completed by the original vendor in order to get a consistent finish. They have tried to match the color several times but to no avail.
It is unacceptable after waiting close to 11 months between production, correction of mistakes and at a cost of nearly $50,000 our kitchen is still not complete. This has been a nightmare. Plenty of lip service without a final result. We understand our obligations of the contract with Decasas, however they have not fulfilled their end of the contract. At this point we are researching how to complete our kitchen. We do not recommend their services for kitchen cabinets.

D’Cassa made us an amazing kitchen. We are very happy, everything is really very well done in every detail, from Heriberto designing it for us, to all the stuff coming to our house for measures, until the guys that came to install the kitchen, they were super precise and all of them have done just an outstanding job!
We had an issue for the delay of the arrival, but D’Cassa took responsibility and great care of us, like an only a serious company does.
What to say? Our modern kitchen is just gorgeous are we are very happy with the look of our new home! Thank you Heriberto for your nice work. The quality also is great!!
