The water had an unpleasant smell that I didn’t enjoy, but other than that, it was fun to watch the baby frogs and hike from the mountain. I did have a scary moment when a man followed me, so I had to play hide and seek in the woods to get away. Later, two other men approached me in a weird way, and I couldn’t understand their accent. I told them my boyfriend was waiting for me and quickly left the area, opting for the mountain instead to have a more relaxing time. I wouldn’t recommend going there alone, but it could be a good family spot if you don’t mind the lake’s smell.

Since the flooding overflow it has really opened up a lot more side areas that were too overgrown before. They did a great job and getting it useful for recreational fishing and hiking. Bird watchers need to get there early as the sun rises and you won't be disappointed. I really enjoy it and it's nice to see it open to families and recreation again.

Ein schöner Ort, worin sich der Rattlesnake Hill befindet, von dem man einen sehr guten Ausblick auf den Phoenix Raceway hat und sogar in anderer Richtung Downtown Phoenix erkennt. Ein schwerer Anstieg über Geröll erfordert allerdings festes, rutschfestes Schuhwerk. Oben kann man bestimmt auch picknicken oder das Rennen verfolgen, sofern erlaubt.

It is nice having somewhere close to home to fish. It pissed me off to see the area treated like this. I do not review many places but I was so upset about this I had to post. Trash everywhere come on now CLEAN UP after your self lazy people.

This is a nice place to go bird watching and fishing. I saw egret's and pelicans. I saw someone walk off with a 2 and a half foot catfish. This weekend is the Tres Rios event. Fun event, lots of nature stuff going on along with live music and a bar plus vendors, food, free fishing, zipline, free paddle boarding and canoeing. Hands on activities for adults and children. It's every year at this time at this location. Nice place.

Beautiful area, just sad how people treat it. Trash/TP scattered everywhere, signs and trees graffitied, off roaders driving every which way. This place definitely needs some state/city funded help, its got potential to be a gem of a Phoenix natural area. An AZGFD officer out here could make a huge profit handing out citations, hint hint.

Nature, wildlife, lots of walking trails. Bring a lot of water and wear a shade hat that protects against the sun. You can visit the Meridian at the top of the hill nearby. There are some fishing areas nearby as well.
