Amazing!
Robert helped us setup a great tour. And we had a great time with our guide Tudor, who told us everything about the local wildlife, tast delicious local food and how to stay safe. He even gave us good recommendations on what to experience on the rest of our trip in Romania.
Everything was good, with beautiful sight from the cabin of the wonderful nature. We will definitely come back one day

Spent two nights in the Carpathians with Alex, our guide. The total experience was exceptional and incredible value for money. The hides are immaculate, we saw plenty of wildlife (bears, bison, wild boar), the food and drink were fantastic and Alex was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely be coming back to Romania.

My partner and I spent two nights at Comisu and one night at Bunea. The hides are beautiful - so simple yet beautifully made and fit into the landscape perfectly. We were lucky enough to see a female bear with a cub on two of the evenings and one of the mornings and watched them for nearly 6 hours in total - often from o ly 25 metres away. We also saw bison, boar, red deer, a fox, black woodpeckers and some beautiful lizards. Our guide Andreea was great and cooked us lovely vegan food, and Robert, who we arranged everything with, accommodated all our wishes with ease. This was an amazing experience - wild bears in Europe - what a privilege to see them and in such a beautiful setting.

Good hike up to cabin, beautiful mountains and place to watch wildlife. Good food and company too. Thanks to Robert for setting up our tour and Alex for guiding, hospitality and knowledge of area.

We spent three days in the Fagaras mountains with Tudor and it was such an incredible experience. You're right in the thick of the forest and we saw bears, bison and a red stag! Highly recommend if you're looking for an insightful and peaceful escape from the normal hustle and bustle.

I went on a wildlife trip with Travel Carpathia, staying at Bunea and Comisu hides. We saw a bear almost as soon as we arrived at the first hide! The walk from Bunea to Comisu was very challenging in the hot weather even though it only took a few hours, so be prepared! I am sure May or September would have been easier than the height of Summer. Bunea was much easier to access, if anyone feels unsure about the walk 🙂 It was all worth it for the amazing views though.
Robert was really helpful in answering all my questions about the trip in advance, and Alex was a great guide who took care of everything really professionally and made it all look easy! The hides were very comfortable with big windows looking out onto amazing vistas. The food prepared by Alex (all from local suppliers) was excellent.
The tour is mainly focussed on the landscape, conservation efforts and the mammals you might see. So if you have other specific interests e.g. wildflowers, birds, or butterflies, make sure you let them know in advance so they can make the most of this for you.
