I love Walden's Puddle. I've taken many critters over the years to them and they have always called me back in a timely manner and made an appointment for me to bring the animal the same day. I always give a generous donation when I turn over an animal.

I took a Bard Owl there today, who was hit by a car on 79, going towards Paris, TN, on 11-10-2024 (yesterday). The people here are so wonderful and loving. If my little owl can be released after treatment, they are going to let me pick him up and bring him back where he is from. Thank God for people like them who care enough to do their best to heal and return wildlife back where they belong.

Walden's Puddle is amazing! I took my 7 baby opossums that I found clinging to their dead mother to them. You have to get an appointment with them so call first and leave a message. Also, give donations. They do a spring baby shower donation drive every year for all these new babies. HELP them help nature. ❤️

I had a young, skinny, injured Opossum turn up on my patio. I called WP and left a message. Within a few hours I received a text message from someone. They asked a couple questions and gave me authorization to bring the poor little critter in. When I arrived they were very nice and the drop off was smooth. It warmed my heart to know the little Opossum was in caring hands.

I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Often times I don't even bother reaching out for help because facilities don't return calls or they make you feel like it's your fault the animal was found in bad shape. Or worse, they tell you to just put the animal back. I found a turtle 7 months ago with a broken shell from being run over and they took her in. I just got the word that her shell is mended and she can go back where she came from. Wow!!! Talk about good people, both staff and volunteers. They're 2 hours away from me and they offered to get a volunteer to meet me halfway and she was lovely and knowledgeable and totally invested in the turtle's welfare. Turns out the turtle is a 70 year old female and she got quite attached to her saviors. She is now living her best life back in the wild. Walden's Puddle deserves every donation they get and they do fantastic work on behalf of TN wildlife. I'm so grateful for them.

This place is a hidden gem! I found some abandoned cottontail rabbits on my property and they coached me through the best way to make sure they were taken care of. Will be doing my best to support this local spot in the future!

Thankful for this place... Thank you Carolyn for reaching out... I tried to have a little squirrel heal from her predator's attack injuries, but little one didn't make the long ride from Murfreesboro to the center because I got stuck in an accident traffic? but thankful that they were there to take her and dispose her properly and with dignity ❤️❤️ I would love to help this place on their amazing mission for the wildlife animals ? Rest Easy my little Alvin... Less than 12 hours in my life but left a footprint in my heart?️?️?️?️?️

The ladies here were super friendly, very knowledgeable on the EXACT type of baby bird we had rescued. They let us venture around to see some animals too. Online website is very informative on what you can do in the meantime for your rescue buddy until they have contacted you to schedule a drop off appointment. If you can help any injured or orphaned critter, do so & bring them here!
