It's a great place. They willingly welcomed my little birdy who happened to fell out of her nest and neither could walk or fly. They said they had put her on oxygen, and later they would do an X-ray to check any fractured bones. So nice. I wish they could also send me something when she is recovered. When I arrived home two adult doves, parents, were waiting for me on the sidewalk. I think they saw me taking away their child, and they were expecting it back. Poor things. They will never see her again.

What an amazing organization! After spending nearly a full day trying to find a bird rehabber, I brought a mourning dove that had been essentially scalped by a cat. They did an immediate intake, assessment, and started care before I had even left. The staff was amazing and very knowledgeable!

Thank God for people and places like this. It’s so unbelievable, I reached out to so many veterinary clinics and bird and wildlife rehabilitation centers of Michigan and no one would respond or help! I didn’t even ask them to take my injured baby bird, I asked for ADVICE. Through my search I was referenced to these guys and they are the first ones who would offer any real advice and also to help the bird, they also referenced a great veterinary clinic who I have an appointment with for this beautiful baby woodpecker. This is the first place that offered actual help and showed any kind of compassion. They texted with me right up until closing, too. So this is an animal rescue place that actually cares and helps, seems like that should not be hard to find. Might I also add how insane it is that veterinarians who specialize in birds are only allowed to help “pet” birds and only allowed to euthanize non-captive birds unless otherwise licensed. Thank God for places like this and for vets licensed to help wildlife which this place works with. If I had money, I’d donate. We need places like this. Please consider donating to places like this. No joke, only bird rehab center I could find that would actually help. That is alarming to me.

Love it! They took 3 wren eggs that were left orphaned today. Their momma was lost to a stray cat attack. So glad this place exists. I leave the care of these beautiful birds to pros..like these. Praying they hatch and thrive. 3 more beautiful pieces of Artwork by nature, house wren, finches. I will miss watching for them. They made the nest on my front porch in an Easter decoration.

Neighbors found an injured fledgling cardinal. Poor guy had a busted wing. All of the other shelters in the area politely informed me that they were and could not be of any help.Anywa, as busy as they are, the bird center got back to super quickly and were super helpful!! Love these guys!!

5+ Stars .. This place is simply amazing! Im here visiting family and found an adolescent Robin with a mangled foot and couldn't fly. I sent a message late last night around 830pm. I did as directed online, put him in a box without food and water (where this may seem a bit harsh is is best for the bird for several hours) kept the bird in a area where it was about 75/80 degrees in a dim area, checked on him hourly, but I let him/her decompress. And was on our way at 830am. The location is beautiful. Very well maintained. And the staff member who helped was very friendly. You are encouraged to donate, but it is not required. By card cash or venmo. I honestly couldn't say enough good things about this bird rescue. Well worth the drive.

They took the Flicker I rescued and protected after it was attacked by hawk in air and got bad injured wing and shoulder. As a bird mom of 30 years I did what I could to stabilize the bird get it vitamin mineral water through syringe and use a special powder to stop bleeding from my vet, and with warmth rag clean em up a bit so he would not get any infection from being outside. I contacted many places near me got nothing but answer machines and on a week day all places were open but didn't get back to me. He seemed to perk up from the shock of the hack attack after I took care of him. I finally decided to go further out been here once before back in the day. Wasn't disappointed they picked up the phone and I sent them pics of the bird and they said bring em in. FYI never treat an injured bird unless you know absolutely what your doing like me with experience. Anyhow we got a card with the birds info and planning to get in touch see how our little young Flicker we named Maple is doing. Great people and they care about the animals in their care.

Brought them an injured dove, was able to check in on her until her successful recovery and release. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. Thank you to everyone that cares for the birdies!
