I submitted two Paintings to the Conservation Center. Both had about 200 years of grime on the surface and serious frame issues. The Conservation Center removed the grime, re-coated with fresh varnish, and stabilized the frames. Both Paintings pop with vibrancy, as if they were just recently painted, and the frames have been stabilized. I provide Before/After photos of my Paintings worked on by the Conservation Center as an example of their good work. Night and Day results.

I was happy to return a painting to the Conservation Center after it was damaged by a leaking accident from the hall of our condo, decades after my parents had had it cleaned and restored with The Conversation Ctr. I trust them. My parents had a good experience in the 90s, I have a good experience in 2023 and also the museums near me, in Wisconsin recommended the CC to me when I inquired as to whether such work could be done in Wisconsin. The Conservation Center did a great job, 5 star!

Communication was slightly lacking once they had the painting.
A couple times when I emailed the CC staff member assigned to my project I found myself waiting a couple of weeks. Finally I'd make a follow up phone call or email and was able to get the answer. The important thing is the work was well done, and my questions were answered if I made sure I paid attention.

(Extra bonus, an amazing bakery around the corner from them, Publican Quality Bread... don't miss it! Holy cow, I’d drive a couple of hours for their breads and treats!)

The Center did an amazing job restoring it to near original quality. I strongly recommend checking to see if you have similar keepsakes of historic value and using TCC's extensive talents to assure their preservation as well.
