This company doesn't even deserve one star from me and the only reason I am is because I have to. The work Quailty first home improvement did on replacing our roof last February is horrible here is a picture my husband took of the damage since November we have been trying to get someone to come out and fix it with no such luck. We haven't even had any rain and the roof is leaking. We paid this company a lot of money to replace our roof and we should not be having this problem this upsets me to no end we trusted this company! I would like to warn consumers if you want your roof done right don't use this company.

After Quality First completed my paint/dry rot repair last month, I found out I needed a roof (sooner than expected) and my skylight was cracked, and gutters rusted through. I loved the quality of the Painting job they did and the professionalism of the workers - there was no doubt I'd have them do the rest of the exterior work!!

So....Quality First also did my roof, gutters, and skylights this past week!!! The roof crew arrived punctually at 7am on Monday morning and had everything torn off and ready to start install in under 3 hours!!! It was so fast! With rain arriving Wednesday, I was hoping it would all be completed by the end of Tuesday - and to my amazement - they were done by the end of day Tuesday - with everything! They cleaned up the yard of any debris from the roof and it looked like they'd never been there - with the exception of my fabulous new 'cool' roof, skylights, and gutters!!!

They are even having a painter come back out to touch-up the spots where old walls/trim are exposed with the updates!

Now I really do have a brand new house, and I didn't even have to move!!! Thank you Quality First - I look forward to my Patio cover early next year to complete the current work efforts!! 🙂

These guys prey on seniors with door to door "free estimates" they attempted to charge almost 100k, when we had another roofing company to come by the roof was fine. Dont trust this company, they will use high pressure tactics. Lots of fake reviews, look through them for more of these exact stories

Disclaimer: I did not actually hire this contractor.

Nor did I seek out their services. They showed up at my door advertising free quotes. I told them I was not in the market for any remodels and was busy at the moment but would have someone out at a later time just to give me an estimate for a kitchen remodel. The salesman proceeded to ask me about the price of my house and what my interest rate was Not that weird but the whole interaction felt funny, especially since these guys were going door to door in the rain. I felt like they might be scoping out good homes to potentially burglarize so as soon as they left my doorstep I looked the company up. The bad reviews were definitely a red flag even though their over all google review score is high. So I had the estimator come out anyways just to see if they’d try to juug me. First of all, the kid didn’t look like he had a day of trade experience in his life. He looked like a college student who’s just doing this to pay some bills. After a short conversation and barely looking at my kitchen at all, he quoted me at EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS for some new cabinets and counter tops. For some context, the average master bathroom is bigger than my kitchen. This company really preys on people they think are unsuspecting. And now I’ve gotten calls from random numbers since as I see other people are dealing with from their reviews. Do yourself a favor and don’t even open your door for these clowns.

Really enjoyed working with this team. The Quality First folks made it very smooth and easy to finance major fixes, and we got a beautiful new roof for our house and a fabulous paint job. My favorite part was how fast and seamlessly Oleg and his crew got our house painted. Our house looks so sharp! Highly recommend.

EDIT: Re: "Owner response" below to original review I've tried calling and email several times with no response, big surprise. They even had the gall to have someone call me and offer to sell me more services. Just empty words to give the illusion that they were trying to fix my situation when they had ample time to do so in my complain to the California State Licensing Board about them.

Worst possible service, even for a contractor. Under no circumstances should you use them. Here's a list of issues I had:

1. We purchased our house and they had done solar and roof work for previous homeowners. We found the solar panel cables to be not conduited (not to code) and exposed wires in the garage. Even a sales rep pointed that out and requested someone to come fix. They never did.

2. Said sales rep came by one year and inquired if we were interested in a backup home battery to connect to our solar panel system. We said we were. We did not hear back from him at all that year. One year later he came back again asking as if he had never been to visit. We foolishly again said we were interested and signed a contract with a deposit.

3. Nine months go by and we don't hear ANYTHING from them on start of project. Their estimated start date was April, and it's a violation of their license to not start within 20 days of that. They showed up unannounced in September, after we tried to cancel our contract with them. The only saving grace was that they had hired skilled SUBCONTRACTORS to do the battery installation work.

4. And the biggest doozy, they had installed the incorrect type of roofing for the previous owners (simple shingles on a grade less than 7 degrees, not to code). Moss had built up and this allowed water to pool and leak through our roof and damage our roof. After months of emails saying someone would come out to inspect and fix, of course no one did. This roof was supposedly GAF warranted which was useless since GAF simply pointed me back to QF to get them to do the work. We were expecting our first child and the winter rains were imminent so I could not wait on them, which I doubt they ever would have addressed my concern.

I ended up having to use separate contractor (extreme professionals) and it cost me ~$10k. I attempted to net out the cost with the battery contract, and they told me they could do a check swap for compensation to "close out the books", to which I agreed. Then they gave me a story how they could pay me half and once my battery contract was closed they could pay me the other half. I took them at their word, which was of course a mistake, since once I paid the net amount on the battery contract they just went radio silent and I'm stuck paying for their shoddy roof work that was supposedly warranted! Please don't ever use them.

These screen doors lived up to the quality claimed by Brian. They enable us to enjoy fresh air while providing security. They were installed at our convenience by a very professional crew.

I had a kitchen/bathroom remodel done by one of Quality First's contractors Arthur and crew. They were absolutely fantastic. They said it would be done in 3 weeks and everything to my liking and it was. They paid attention to details that I didn't even think to ask for. Then to top it off, Arthur told me he would have a cleaning person come and completely clean my kitchen and bathroom so it would be ready for me to restock. I was blown away at how respectful they were the whole time they were in my home and the talent of their craftsmen. Jim the sales rep for Quality First kept in touch with me if I had any questions AND even volunteered to help me at a non-profit event I was in charge of on his day off. Thank you all for the great job done.
