UPDATE 6-4-24. 66% RATE INCREASE!!!!
I previously thought you were imposing about a 50% rate INCREASE for irrigation?
I was wrong-my rate for 1.25 hours went up this year from $14.61 to $22.10. THATS A 66% INCREASE. AND ONLY ABLE TO IRRIGATE ONCE EVERY 13 DAYS. SO I HAVE TO USE GILBERT CITY WATER JUST TO KEEP MY TREES AND SHRUBS ALIVE —WHICH IS JUST AS COSTLY. Even using inflation as an excuse - that has to be difficult to justify?

This is my first time living where I have irrigation. In November we opened our water at our given time and didn’t get our water. We called the 24 hour number and the guy told us no one on our street was getting their water and he didn’t know why, he said it was too late at night to figure it out. Later, I called the office during office hours and asked about a refund for November, since we paid but did not get water. The office lady was not helpful and said I needed to talk to another department and that she had no way of connecting me to it. She also said that we would only get our money back if it was proven that it was their offices fault that we didn’t get water. She said she would have someone call me but that she didn’t know if they would be able to help me either. No one ever called me back. What kind of a business is this? It seems very disorganized. You pay for water whether you get water or not? It makes no sense that the office ladies have no way of figuring out how to help, who else do you even call if the front people don’t know whats going on with the company, and don’t know how to help the customers?

I have to agree with the negative reviews here. Their attitude towards customers is in line with what you'd expect with a company who knows you have no choice on who to do business with. If there was a choice, their attitude and customer service would be 180 deg. If there was a choice, I wouldn't choose RWCD. I use SRP at my full time residence and they are fantastic. It really takes very little on RWCD's part to make a customer happy and they are not interested. Very sad. I will say that the employees seem to have their hands tied and the management gets away with poor customer service culture. I've seen the new building. Money isn't an issue.

This a perfect example of a government agency that is brutally inefficient, fully self aware, and couldn't care less. They could update their systems and processes to make life way easier for both the customers and employees, but simply choose not too.

The office people are great but everyone else goes out of their way to be mean. If there was competition these guys would be out of business faster than a blink.
