Devos Furniture - Chatham, Ontario

Found a double bed by Crate Designs we liked for our son in the Devos Furniture website. Priced seemed decent compared to other retailers selling Crate Designs.

Not being local, we ordered it online in early May 2024 in hopes of getting it by the end of the month. We waited for some form of confirmation. Crickets.

After a month, we followed up with the store to find out they really don't understand how their e-commerce works and despite taking the money off our credit card no real idea when we'd get the bed since they said Crate Designs doesn't make the bed until its ordered. Well, turns out that wasn't true since when we got the bed it had a date stamp of April 2024.

Called a bunch more times and eventually by mid-June we were told "ya it's coming, how does July 5th work for delivery. Fine, but any type of shipping information. Nope.

We got it. Well packaged and not complicated to assemble but the instructions were not as easy as Ikea.

Overall, if you're not in a rush go ahead, otherwise I don't recommend this place if you expect to get something locally in a reasonable amount of time.

this was our first dealings with Devos Furniture. Excellent company to work with. Great quality furniture and great people. We custom ordered a dining room set. It was delivered well boxed and protected with corner inserts, styrofoam and ample wrapping. The two delivery reps Pete and Corey were amazing. they handled the install like pros. Friendly and respectful of our home. All garbage and left over wrapping was taken with them at end. 100% Will use this company again.

We ordered bar stools for our cottage from Stools Canada. They were phenomenal from start to finish. It said that it would take approx 6 weeks for delivery. After three weeks I contacted them online to see if they were on schedule. Ryan Devos told me they were actually out to be shipped. He contacted me a few days ahead to let me know they'd been shipped and we were so excited to receive them. Easy to put together and they look unbelievable! They are well made and go so well with our bar. Thank you!!!

Devos is my first choice for furniture in Chatham, 75% of the furniture in my home is from their store. Ryan and Andrea and the rest of the staff are excellent to work with. They are always getting great new pieces in and tempting me to buy more. Excellent store!

I placed an online order August 8th 2022 and was immediately charged for my order. Fast forward a few weeks with no shipping confirmation. I tried multiple times contacting this business, email, phone calls even a voice message to confirm if my items had even shipped. Someone picked up once, said they'll call back with a shipping #. Ha. Never did. With no response I had to do a charge back. So, others may have had a great experience with this business but to me it felt like a big scam. They had my contact number from my online order to rectify the situation but nope. My bank fully refunded me right away. Be warned stay away.

Huge rave to Devos Furniture! Ryan and Andrea were very helpful in picking out styles and fabric. Myfurniture came in faster than expected and delivery was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone looking for furniture or home decor.
